
Child Visitor — How to Enter the UK If Under 18
A child visitor is a person under the age of 18.
Requirements

The applicant is genuinely seeking entry as a child visitor for a limited period as stated by him not exceeding 6 months;

Meets the requirements for entry as a general visitor and
-
Is under the age of 18; and
-
Can demonstrate that suitable arrangements have been made for his travel to, and reception and care in the United Kingdom; and
-
Has a parent or guardian in his home country or country of habitual residence who is responsible for his care; and
-
If a visa national:
- holds a valid United Kingdom entry clearance for entry as an accompanied child visitor and is travelling in the company of the adult identified on his entry clearance, who is on the same occasion being admitted to the United Kingdom; or
- holds a valid United Kingdom entry clearance for entry as an unaccompanied child visitor; and
If the above requirements are met, the applicant will be granted Entry Clearance for a period not exceeding 6 months. It is not possible to remain in the United Kingdom as a child visitor for any longer than 6 months.
