
Long Residence Rule — Get an Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK
If you have been in the United Kingdom lawfully for a continuous period of ten years or unlawfully for a continuous period of fourteen years, you may apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain.
The following requirements must be met:

You have had at least 10 years continuous lawful residence in the United Kingdom; or

at least 14 years continuous residence in the United Kingdom, excluding any period spent in the UK following service of notice of liability to removal or notice of a decision to remove or of a notice of intention to deport you from the UK;

Having regard to the public interest there are no reasons why it would be undesirable for you to be given Indefinite Leave to Remain on the ground of long residence;

You have sufficient knowledge of the English language and sufficient knowledge about life in the United Kingdom.
If your application is successful, you will be granted Indefinite Leave to Remain in UK.
